New IMF Tune v4.0 Build 4.0.005.02

May 05, 2008

We just released a new IMF Tune v4.0 BETA build to fix some issues and add Windows 2008 support. The following is the complete list of changes:

  1. Windows 2008 Support - IMF Tune for Exchange 2007 now supports installation on the latest Windows 2008 RTM platform. Earlier builds were immediately failing at installation time reporting that the platform was not supported.

  2. Exchange 2007 (64-bit) Auto-Replies Fix - A problem existed concerning exclusively the IMF Tune build for Exchange 2007 64-bit platform. In this case auto-replies were failing to be submitted.

  3. Exchange 2007 Disk Archiving Fix - A problem existed concerning the IMF Tune builds for Exchange 2007 32-bit and 64-bit platforms. Disk archiving was succeeding to save emails to disk as usual. However because of more stringent email format requirements in Exchange 2007, archived emails could fail to be delivered through the Exchange 2007 Replay directory.

  4. Disk Maintenance Configuration - On configuring the IMF Tune Disk Maintenance property pages one could experience problems navigating from one property field to another. The interface could end up locked to a configuration field.

Upgrading to IMF Tune v4.0

Upgrading to IMF Tune v4.0 may involve an in-place upgrade or a move to new server hardware. This is especially true because IMF Tune v4.0 now supports both Exchange 2003 and 2007. Since Exchange 2007 requires a migration to a 64-bit platform, in this case IMF Tune would also need to move along.

For complete details on all possible upgrade scenarios check HOWTO: Upgrade to IMF Tune v4.0.
