9th Jul 2005 - WinDeveloper TNEF View v2.701 Released

On Thursday, 7th July we released a new update for WinDeveloper TNEF View. This fixes a problem on opening file attachments within TNEF encoded emails.

Problem Details

The problem exhibits itself when opening TNEF through the command line by specifying:

olview.exe <path to TNEF encoded email>

Alternatively the problem could also exhibit itself when using the Windows Explorer 'Open With...' functionality.

In these cases opening an attachment fails with the error dialog that follows:

This problem is now fixed and the attachments open correctly.

You may check if the latest build is installed from the viewer Help | About menu. The latest build that includes this fix is versioned 7.01. Any earlier versions are affected by this problem and should be upgraded.
