IMF Tune support for MS SQL 2019, Fixes Released

IMF Tune build 8.0.201.24 is now available for download. This build brings support for MS SQL 2019 and fixes a problem with the IMF Tune Attendant Service.

MS SQL Support

The IMF Tune Moderator/Reporting interface relies on an MS SQL database backend. With this update we are adding support for all MS SQL 2019 editions.

Extending SQL support required updating both the IMF Tune Moderator/Reporting component and the IMF Tune Scanning Engine component. When running SQL 2019 both components need upgrading.

Unless the IMF Tune Engine is upgraded to the latest build, registering the Engine to SQL 2019 fails, reporting "SQL version not supported". At the IMF Tune Engine the registration interface is accessible from the IMF Tune Configuration under Quarantine | Quarantine Database.

IMF Tune Attendant Service Fix

A problem with the IMF Tune Attendant has been identified that may cause it to stop. Amongst other tasks, this service is responsible for generating the keyword report and for processing quarantine emails. Thus, this problem may cause newly quarantined emails not to show up at the IMF Tune Moderator Interface.

To deploy this fix the IMF Tune engine component must be upgraded. This can be done by running the latest build on top of the currently installed IMF Tune version.

This information applies to IMF Tune v8.0 build number 8.0.201.24. If IMF Tune is already installed you can verify the current build number from the configuration interface under the Miscellaneous category.
