The Microsoft IMF v2 Updates May Cause Problems with IMF Tune (QF20060110)January 19, 2006 Installing Exchange Intelligent Message Filter (IMF) updates may cause a warning dialog to pop-up whenever opening the IMF Tune configuration. This issue applies to users running IMF Tune together with IMF v2. As from December 2005, Microsoft started releasing regular IMF updates. Installing any of these updates may lead IMF Tune to incorrectly detect the current IMF version. In turn, on opening the configuration, this causes the following warning dialog to pop-up: The warning is incorrect since:
The problem does not affect spam filtering in any manner. The product will still function and process emails. Checking If IMF Tune Requires the FixThis problem is only cosmetic. Thus users not experiencing this issue are not required to apply the fix. The build number including this fix is 2.6.201.10. Verify the currently installed build number to determine if this fix applies to your IMF Tune version. Do this as follows:
