IMF Tune - Bringing Back the Exchange Connection Filter
Auto-Whitelisting to Boost the Native Exchange Spam FilterValletta, Malta - (Jan 10, 2011) - WinDeveloper Software just released the new sender auto-whitelisting component for the Microsoft Exchange Content Filter and Intelligent Message Filter. Included in IMF Tune version 5.6, this component is supplementing the anti-spam updates distributed by Microsoft with information extracted from the local Organization environment. Microsoft distributes the same updates for their native spam filtering technology to Exchange servers all over the world. Although very effective in keeping abreast with the latest spam trends, the updates lack Organization specific information. "The Microsoft anti-spam updates are certainly of excellent quality", explained Alexander Zammit, WinDeveloper Technical Director, "However the one size fits all approach is not good enough when combating spam". The IMF Tune auto-whitelisting component collects information on the contacts an Organization is interacting with. This process complements the updates Microsoft is distributing. When filtering spam, emails are processed both by the native spam filter and IMF Tune. The final spam rating is computed by combining the result of both filtering stages. Version 5.6 is the third IMF Tune Release in the last twelve months. "When it comes to return on investment IMF Tune is second to none", Stephanie Farrugia Sales Manager at WinDeveloper pointed out. "Considering our aggressive pricing and the fact that all our licenses include 1 year of free upgrades, many IMF Tune users are getting these updates completely for free". More information on this release is available from the WinDeveloper web site at http://www.windeveloper.com/imftune/. From here a 30 day free evaluation version is available for download.
